On the 20th October 2015 SPI Lasers completed the sale of its CO2 Laser business to SUZHOU TIANHONG Laser (China).
Having acquired JK Lasers from GSI in April 2015, SPI Lasers also acquired their established CO2 business. As a leading provider of Fiber Lasers with challenging strategic goals in this market, a decision was made to remain focused on their core fiber products, therefore after careful consideration an agreement has been reached to sell the CO2 business to SUZHOU TIANHONG LASER (China); ensuring that existing customers continue to receive the exceptional levels of service and support they have become accustomed to.
Thomas Fehn, CEO, SPI Lasers stated:
"I am pleased we have found an organisation in SUZHOU TIANHONG LASER that will continue the CO2 Lasers business previously provided by JK Lasers. I know the team at SUZHOU TIANHONG LASER is dedicated to providing the very best service for new and existing customers in the CO2 Laser business, I wish them every success in the future."
SPI Lasers will continue to sell and develop its innovative suite of industrial CW redPOWER and Pulsed redENERGY Fiber Lasers via its comprehensive global distribution network.
In November, Tianhong announced its acquisition of Wuhan LiFi laser with the price of 230 million yuan , to enter the field of new energy automotive battery production core technology.
